Initially aged for 4 years in bourbon barrels on the sun-kissed island of Barbados, this rum was then transported to France for a further 6 years of maturation in Ferrand cognac barrels. The final stage of its intricate aging process involved a 9-month period in a barrel of Maury wine from Roussillon, adding a unique dimension to its profile.
The blend consists of rums distilled in 2011 using both pot still and column still methods. The molasses used for fermentation had a fermentation period of 3 to 4 days, contributing to the rum's rich and complex character.
