The Colours of Rum 1999 Foursquare Barbados edition No.14 offers an intriguing journey through complex layers of flavors and aromas. Although its nose is inviting and the taste brings a symphony of roasted notes, oak, and sweet elements, the finish might leave some wanting due to its slightly bitter and unpleasant aftertaste. While it is a commendable effort from Foursquare and The Colours of Rum, it may not reach the heights of other offerings aged 12 years in the tropics. My personal rating would be 82; it's an acceptable rum but falls short of being exceptional.
